PECAN PRALINES 
2 c. granulated sugar
1 stick butter
2 tbsp. corn syrup (dark)
1 c. dark or light brown sugar
1 c. milk
4 c. pecan halves

Put all the ingredients except the pecans in a large heavy saucepan and cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the pecans and cook until the liquid forms a soft ball when a little is dropped in cold water. Stir well and then drop by spoonful on waxed paper. I place a few sheets of newspaper beneath the waxed paper.
