SAUSAGE STUFFED MUSHROOMS | |
1 1/2 lb. med. mushrooms (about 36) 1/2 lb. pork sausage 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese 1/2 c. seasoned bread crumbs Parsley for garnish (optional) Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Remove stems from mushrooms and chop. Set this aside. Saute sausage until well done. Drain on paper towel. With 2 tablespoons of drippings from sausage, saute mushroom stems until tender, approximately 10 minutes; stir frequently. Remove skillet from heat. Stir in sausage, cheese and bread crumbs. Mix well. Fill mushroom caps with mixture. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Makes 30 appetizers. Can be used as a side dish also. Preparation time: 1 hour. |
