BLACK BOTTOM CUPCAKES 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 pkg. miniature chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. water
1/3 c. oil
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine cream cheese, egg, and 1/3 cup sugar. Beat until smooth. Add chocolate chips. Sift dry ingredients and remaining sugar. Beat in next 4 ingredients. Fill muffin cups 1/3 full with chocolate batter. Top each with teaspoon of cream cheese mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.
