BATTER CRUST COBBLER 
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. white sugar
3/4 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (16 oz.) canned fruit

In a mixing bowl, sift 1 cup flour, 2 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 cup sugar. Next stir in 3/4 cup milk, 1/2 teaspoon salt. Pour the batter into well greased 12 x 12 inch pan and top with canned fruit.

Before baking in 350 degree oven, sprinkle brown sugar lightly over batter and dot butter on top.
