WHITE CHILI | |
1 lg. onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, chopped 1/4 c. butter (1/2 stick) 4 c. cooked chicken, chopped 3 c. water 2 tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped (or 2 tsp. dried cilantro) 1 tbsp. fresh basil, chopped (or 1 tsp. dried basil) 3 tsp. chicken bouillon granules 2 tsp. chili powder (or use chopped fresh hot peppers) to taste 1/4 tsp. ground cloves 2 (16 oz.) cans Great Northern Beans, undrained 1 med. tomato (save for topping) Cook onion and garlic in butter; stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, reduce to simmer and cook 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Serve with chopped tomato and tortilla chips. Serves 6. |
