1 c. Parkay butter 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. vanilla 3 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar 3 tbsp. milk Food coloring Marshmallows Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients; mix well. Chill. Roll dough out on lightly floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness; cut with 3 inch assorted cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 6-8 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool. Combine sugar and milk; mix well. Tint as desired with food coloring. Frost cookies. To use marshmallows for decorating, cut across the flat side of a marshmallow using scissors dipped in water. Dip cut side into decorative candies or sugars, if desired. Place on cookies with assorted candies to form designs. Approximately 4 dozen cookies. |
