CRANBERRY BREAKFAST MUFFINS 
1/2 c. chopped fresh cranberries
5 tbsp. sugar
1 1/3 c. all purpose flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. milk
3 tbsp. butter, melted
3/4 c. Grape Nuts cereal

Mix cranberries and 2 tablespoons of the sugar; set aside. Mix flour, remaining sugar, baking powder and salt. Beat egg, milk and butter; add to flour mixture; mix just to moisten flour. Stir in cereal and cranberries. Fill greased muffin pans. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes 12 muffins.

The best smell is bread, the savour salt, the best love that of children.

I just made these muffins, they are rather bland so to make them a little more tasteful I just put some peanut butter on them before eating... made them much better.
