APPLE CAKE 
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. apple pie spice
2 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. Wesson oil
3 eggs
3 c. chopped apples
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 c. milk

Combine the flour, soda, salt and apple pie spice. Combine and make a well for flour mixture the sugar, oil and eggs. Add the chopped apples last after cake is mixed.

Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350°F.

Bring to a full rolling boil the brown sugar, butter and milk. Remove from heat; let cool, then beat to spreading consistency.
