MICROWAVE BARBECUE SAUCE 
1 sm. onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp. oil
3/4 c. ketchup
1/4 c. cider vinegar
1/3 c. hot water
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1 tbsp. prepared mild yellow mustard
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. chili powder

Microwave onion and garlic in oil in uncovered, microwave-safe 6 cup measure on high 3 to 3 1/2 minutes until soft. Mix in ketchup, vinegar, water, corn syrup, mustard, Worcestershire, salt, pepper and chili powder. Cover with vented plastic food wrap and microwave on high 1 1/2 to 2 minutes until bubbling. Stir, re-cover and microwave on medium 3 1/2 to 4 minutes, stirring at half time. If refrigerated covered, sauce will keep about 3 weeks. Makes 1 3/4 cups.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
