TOLL HOUSE KOOKIE BRITTLE 
1 c. butter (no substitute)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 c. chocolate chips (I use mini chips)
1 c. nuts (any kind)

Combine butter, vanilla and salt. Blend; gradually add sugar, flour, chips and nuts. Press into 15 x 10 x 1-inch (jelly roll) pan. Press lightly into pan.

Bake at 375°F for 25 to 30 minutes. Watch close; will burn easily. Cool. Then break into pieces, but do not cut.
