TEA CAKES 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 eggs
3 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Cream butter, Crisco, and sugar. Add eggs, beating well. Add gradually, flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well. Add vanilla. Drop on cookie sheet and flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 325 degrees until done.
