SPRINGERLES 
4 eggs
1 lb. powdered sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Butter
Anise seed

Beat eggs for 15 minutes. Add sugar slowly and beat together another 15 minutes. Add flour and baking powder and beat well.

Roll dough out about 1/4 inch thick. Press with springerle rolling pin. Cut into squares and let stand overnight.

Next day, grease pan with butter and sprinkle anise seed over the pan. Place cookies on the anise seeds and bake 10 minutes in 350 degree oven until browned.
