SPRINGERLES 
4 extra lg. eggs
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. oil of anise
Butter the size of walnut
4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Beat eggs and sugar 1 hour by hand or 1/2 hour with mixer. On slow speed, add oil of anise and cooled melted butter slowly, and mix thoroughly. Add flour by hand a little at a time.

Roll dough out to 1/2 inch. Press design and cut. Place on greased cookie sheets and let stand 15-20 hours (to set design). Bake at 325-350 degrees for 15 minutes.
