CHEESE STUFFED CHICKEN BREASTS
WITH BACON
 
2 (1 oz.) sticks string cheese
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
1/2 tsp. dried sage
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 strips bacon

Heat oven to 500 degrees. Cut the cheese sticks in half cross-wise. Pound the chicken lightly to an even thickness. Sprinkle the rough side of each breast with sage, salt, and pepper. Roll each, seasonings inside, around a cheese stick, tucking in the sides so the cheese won't leak out.

Secure with toothpicks. Wrap in a strip of bacon and put in a roasting pan. Bake until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is browned, about 15 minutes.
