CHEESECAKE BARS 
1 c. flour
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
6 tbsp. butter
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1/4 tsp. lemon zest
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. walnuts OR pecans, chopped

Combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter to make fine crumbs. Reserve 1 cup crumbs for topping. Press remainder into ungreased 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees 12-15 minutes.

Cream sugar and cream cheese. Add remaining ingredients and beat until smooth. Spread over crust. Stir nuts into crumb topping and sprinkle over filling.

Bake at 350 degrees 20-25 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.
