GRANDMOTHER'S BISCUITS 
3 c. flour
Salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 spoonful shortening
Sour milk or buttermilk

Sift flour, soda, cream of tartar. Add shortening. Add buttermilk, a little at a time to rolling consistency. Cut biscuits. Bake at 450 degrees.
