LISA'S BEST EVER MACARONI SALAD | |
1 (16 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni pasta (your favorite) 2 stalks celery, finely chopped 1 large sweet pepper, chopped 1 large sweet onion, chopped 1 (15 oz.) jar Miracle Whip 2 (5 oz. ea.) cans tuna, oil or water (your choice) soft boiled eggs, chopped (optional) Cook macaroni (til fork cuts easily), drain and run under cold water. Add all ingredients and mix thoroughly. You want this salad to be somewhat creamy, not dry. Serve anytime. Great at picnics. You may add other veggies if you like such as: cucumbers, tomatoes, peas, small pieces of broccoli or cauliflower, carrots. However, I find that keeping this salad simple is the best way to serve it. Variation: You can substitute the tuna for canned white chunk chicken (just as good). Submitted by: Lisa B. |
