BAKED CHOCOLATE PIE 
2 eggs, separated
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
2 oz. chocolate
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell

Beat egg yolks and mix well with remaining ingredients. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

I had to double the recipe to fill a store bought, frozen, deep dish pie crust, and then bake the whole thing for about 15 minutes longer than called for, but this recipe worked out really well. I replaced the 2oz chocolate with Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder already in my pantry. 1 oz. chocolate = 3 tbsp. of cocoa powder. I topped it with cool whip and drizzled chocolate sauce on top. It should be named "Baked Chocolate Fudge Pie" because it has a very fudgy consistency. Next time, I would like to pair it with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
