GRASSHOPPER BARS | |
BOTTOM LAYER: 1/2 c. butter, softened 1 c. sugar 4 eggs, well beaten 1 c. flour 1 c. Hershey syrup Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs, flour and syrup. Put in greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, do not overbake. SECOND LAYER: 2 c. powdered sugar 1/2 c. butter, softened 2 tbsp. milk 1 1/2 tbsp. creme de menthe (or more) Mix and spread on cooled bottom layer. Refrigerate. TOP LAYER: 1 c. chocolate chips 6 tbsp. butter Melt together chips and butter. Cool slightly. Spread over mint. Refrigerate. |
