GOLDEN OYSTER STEW 
1 qt. fresh oysters
1/2 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. sliced celery
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. cheddar cheese
1 c. cream of potato soup
2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1 jar pimentos, diced
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. liquid hot pepper sauce
1/4 tsp. salt

Cook onion and celery in butter. Add mushrooms, cook 1 minute. Stir flour, salt and pepper in. Add milk gradually until thick. Do not boil. Add cheese, stir until melted. Add oysters, soup, etc. Cook over low heat 5-10 minutes until oysters curl.
