SPANISH RICE 
1/2 lb. bacon or 1 lb. hamburger
1 med. onion
1/2 green pepper, diced
1 can tomatoes
1 1/2 c. water
3/4 c. rice, uncooked
1 can tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Fry bacon or hamburger. Saute onion and green pepper in 3 tablespoons fat in a large skillet until tender. Add all other ingredients. Cook slowly, covered, approximately 45 minutes. Sprinkle crumbled bacon or hamburger on top, mix and serve.
