PICCALILLI OR SWEET RELISH 
2 qts. chopped green tomatoes
2 sweet red peppers
2 sweet green peppers
2 lg. onions
1/2 c. salt
1 1/2 c. vinegar (dark, 5% acidity)
1 1/2 c. water
2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. tumeric
1 tsp. celery seed

Chop tomatoes, peppers and onions. Mix with salt. Stand overnight. Drain and press in cloth to remove all liquid. Boil vinegar, water, sugar and spices 5 minutes. Add vegetable mixture. Bring to boil and pour in hot jars. Seal at once.
