CANDIED YAMS 
10 sm. yams
2 sticks real butter
1 pkg. brown sugar
1 c. pecans

Place yams on baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 45 minutes in jackets. Peel and slice. Melt butter and place in mixing bowl and soak yams.

Combine sugar and nuts and roll yams in mixture. Place in shallow casserole dish. Pour remaining butter over yams and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees until slightly brown and syruppy (15-20 minutes). Serves 6.
