DAD'S PIE CRUST 
6 oz. shortening
4 oz. butter
2 c. all-purpose flour (nonbleached)
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 pinch baking soda

Blend shortening and butter. Add flour and cut together, but have Free Fat present. DO NOT OVER MIX. Add milk, salt, sugar and baking soda until all free flour is absorbed. Cool in refrigerator and then roll. Makes two 9 inch double pie crusts. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
