MIXED BERRIES WITH MINT 
1/2 pt. black berries
1/2 pt. raspberries
1/2 pt. blueberries
1/2 pt. strawberries, hulled
2 tbsp. sugar syrup
1 tbsp. finely chopped fresh mint
Garnish
Whole mint leaves

In a large bowl, carefully mix the berries together, using a large spoon. Pour the sugar syrup over the berries and add the chopped mint. Mix the mint in carefully, taking care not to break up the berries. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

SUGAR SYRUP:

Makes 2 cups.

This preparation may be kept in your refrigerator for use whenever you need it. It will keep up to a month.

Sugar
Water

Pl ace the water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Let the syrup cool to room temperature. Refrigerate in a sealed jar.
