THE COOKIE THAT WENT TO MARKET | |
2 eggs, well beaten 2 c. white sugar 1 c. lard (full) 1 c. milk (scant) 1/3 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder Mix and let stand overnight if possible as they will not need as much flour if you do. Mix with pastry flour as soft as you can easily handle on the board. If too stiff add cream. Bake in hot oven with two raisins on top, also a sifting of white sugar. |
