BAKED SPAGHETTI AND CHEESE
CASSEROLE

1 (8 oz.) pkg. spaghetti
1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) grated sharp cheese
Dried oregano
3/4 c. chili sauce or spaghetti sauce
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. milk

Cook spaghetti, drain. In a well-greased 2-quart dish, place half of spaghetti and half of cheese. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon oregano; dot with half of sauce and 1 tablespoon butter. Add remaining spaghetti and cheese; sprinkle with a pinch of oregano and dot with remaining butter.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper; pour milk over all. Top with remaining sauce.

Bake uncovered in a 350°F oven for about 35-45 minutes or until milk is absorbed and cheese is melted.

Great with broiled hamburgers and salad.

This was delicious! I used the cheese I had on hand, which was equal parts sharp cheddar, mild cheddar and mozzarella. I also sprinkled a layer of ground beef (maybe 1/2 lb.) over the first layer of spaghetti noodles. It worked well using reduced fat cheese and reduced fat milk. This will make a great dish to take to our next potluck. Thanks for sharing :)
