CHEESE BREAD | |
1 loaf frozen bread, thawed 1/2 - 1 lb. Muenster cheese, shredded 2 eggs 1/2 c. sour cream 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. butter Thaw dough at least 1 hour. On floured surface, roll dough into a 20" circle or 2 (10") circles. Let rest while making filling. FILLING: Beat eggs. Stir all but 2 tablespoons into shredded Muenster. Add sour cream, salt, butter. (Add 1 teaspoon or more of dill for variety.) Grease 1 (or 2) pie plates. Place dough loosely in pan. Spoon on filling in center. Pull dough over filling in pleats. Twist into top knot. Let rest 30 minutes. Brush with reserved egg. Bake 375 degrees for 35 minutes. Can be frozen. |
