MERINGUE COOKIES 
2 egg whites
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. dates
1/2 c. chocolate bits
1/2 c. nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat egg whites until very stiff. Beat in sugar. Stir in other 3 ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls on foil or parchment on cookie sheet. Turn off oven heat. Put in oven at night and leave in oven overnight. Makes 40-50 cookies.
