BETSY'S 24 HOUR COLESLAW 
1 green cabbage, sliced thin
1 green pepper, sliced thin
6 scallions, sliced
1 c. vinegar
2 c. sugar
1 c. vegetable oil
Dill seed to taste

Combine first 3 ingredients in a large saucepan and bring only to boil. Pour over dry ingredients and mix. (It will not scald the vegetables.) Best when refrigerated for 24 hours before serving.
