FANCY PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 
1 cup shortening
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt

In a mixing bowl, cream shortening, peanut butter and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in milk and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.

Bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks.

FROSTING:

1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup peanut butter
4 cups confectioners' sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch salt

For frosting, cream butter, shortening, peanut butter and confectioners' sugar in a mixing bowl. Beat in milk, vanilla and salt until smooth. Frost cooled cookies.

ICING:

1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted
2 tablespoons milk

Combine icing ingredients; drizzle over frosting.

Yield: 7-1/2 dozen.
