CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS | |
1 chicken, cooked and chopped 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of chicken soup 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped 1/2 c. onion, chopped 1/3 c. celery, chopped 3 bay leaves 1 (10 oz.) can refrigerator biscuits Salt and pepper to taste Boil chicken. Bone and skin the chicken, then chop into pieces. Reserve the chicken broth and add soups, green pepper, onion, celery and bay leaves. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and add chopped chicken. Cut up biscuits into small pieces and drop into the mixture. Discard bay leaves. Add salt and pepper to taste. If the mixture is too thick, add a little water. Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes or until dumplings are done. |
