1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. sugar
1 c. peanut butter
7 c. Rice Krispies
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1 pkg. butterscotch chips

Cook syrup and sugar over moderate heat until mixture boils. Remove from heat and add peanut butter. Stir. Add to cereal and mix well. Press into buttered 9 x 13 pan. Melt chips together and stir to blend. Spread over cereal mixture. Chill until top is firm. Cut into bars.

Edna would have the bars waiting for her granddaughters when they completed the lawn mowing!
