JUMBO CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) chocolate chip morsels
1 c. chopped nuts (your choice)

Cream butter and shortening. Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to cream mixture beating well. Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts.

Drop dough by 1/4 cup fulls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Cool slightly on cookie sheets. Remove to wire rack. Makes 2 dozen. White vanilla morsels can also be used if preferred. Enjoy!
