BUTTERSCOTCH PUDDING CAKE 
1 (3 3/4 oz.) pkg. butterscotch pudding
2 c. milk
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 pkg. butterscotch morsels
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Prepare pudding with milk as directed on package; cool. Stir into cake mix and blend well. Pour into greased and floured 13"x9"x2" cake pan. Sprinkle with butterscotch morsels and chopped nuts. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes.

I've prepared this recipe numerous times, and without the nuts. You also HAVE to use the slow cooking pudding, NOT the instant. For some reason it does not work with the instant pudding.

I made this for a birthday and it got eaten up ... next time I'll mix the morsels in though. Also, I just put one in with Butter Pecan cake and Pumpkin Spice pudding ... Why limit it to Butterscotch?

Thanks for the recipe. It was a big hit. I love the fact that I don't have to use the oil and eggs from the cake mix so it cuts down on the "bad feelings" you get from having a cake. It's nice right out of the oven but if you wait til the next day, it gets really moist and more flavorful. I threw some of the morsels into the batter before baking and I *highly* suggest that.
