DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CRUMBLE BARS | |
1/2 c. butter 3/4 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 c. chopped pecans 2 tbsp. cocoa 1/4 tsp. baking powder 2 c. tiny marshmallows 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces 1 c. peanut butter 1 1/2 c. crisp rice cereal Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix flour, nuts, cocoa, baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Stir this into egg mixture. Spread in 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until tests done. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly on top, bake 3 minutes more, cool. Topping: Combine chocolate pieces, and peanut butter. Cook and stir over low heat until chocolate melts. Stir in cereal. Spread mixture on top of cooled bars. Chill. Cut into bars. Refrigerate. |
