CHOCOLATE REVEL BARS 
1 c. butter, softened
2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
2 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
4 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

In large mixer bowl beat 1 cup butter with an electric mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add about half the flour, all the brown sugar, eggs, 2 teaspoons of the vanilla and baking soda. Beat on low speed until thoroughly combined. Beat in remaining flour; stir in oats.

In a medium saucepan, cook chocolate pieces, sweetened condensed milk and 2 tablespoons butter over low heat until chocolate is melted, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining vanilla and nuts. Pat 2/3 of oat mixture (about 3 1/2 cups) into bottom of an ungreased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan. Spread chocolate mixture over oat. Dot with remaining oat mixture. Bake in a 350 degree oven about 25 minutes or until top is light golden. Chocolate mixture will still look moist. Cool on wire rack. Cut into bars. Makes 60.
