IRISH STEW 
2 lbs. stewing lamb, cubed
1/2 c. cubed carrots
1/2 c. cubed turnip
1 onion, sliced
1 potato, cubed
2 c. potatoes, sliced
Salt and pepper to taste

Cover meat with boiling water. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Add carrots, turnip, onion and cubed potato; cook for 30 minutes. Add sliced potatoes; cook for 30 minutes longer. Season. Yield: 6 servings.
