FRIENDSHIP CAKE 
ay 1 Pour starter into a glass gallon jar. Add one
large can sliced peaches (1 pound can and its juice). Cut
each slice into 4 pieces. Add 2 1/2 cups sugar and stir
everyday for 10 days with a wooden spoon. Leave at 4oom
temperature and cover only with a cloth.

ay 10 Add one 16 ounce can of tidbit pineapple and its
juice. Add 2 1/2 cups sugar and stir everyday for 10 days.The color will change and the fruit will foam when stirred.

ay 20 Add 2 small jars maraschino cherries. Slice each
in half. DO NOT ADD juice of cherries. Add 2 1/2 cups sugar
and stir everyday for 10 days. The cherries will give the
juice back its pink color.

ay 30 Drain fruit into large bowl. There will be 4 pints
of new starter. Cake must begin within 3 days of receiving
new starter.

ay 31 You are ready to bake your cakes. Makes 3 cakes.

You will need:

3 boxes Duncan Hines butter golden cake mix (1 each cake)
3 boxes (small) vanilla instant pudding (1 each cake)
1 dozen eggs (4 each cake)
2/3 c. vegetables oil for each cake
2/3 c. water for each cake
1 c. each per cake of raisins, walnuts, pecans, coconut

Gas oven 245 degrees, electric oven 300 degrees. Grease and flour tube pan. Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Cakes will freeze nicely for future use (after baked).
