CREME DE MENTHE BROWNIES | |
1 stick softened butter 2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar 2 tbsp. green creme de menthe 6 oz. chocolate pieces 6 tbsp. butter Bake brownies in 9 x 13 inch pan using your favorite recipe or mix. Mix 1 stick of butter with 2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar. Add 2 tablespoons creme de menthe or enough to make a good spreading consistency. Frost brownies in pan and refrigerate until firm. Melt 1 cup (6 ounce) chocolate pieces with 6 tablespoons butter over hot water or in microwave (2 1/2 minutes). Stir until smooth and cool until spreadable. Spread on top of creme de menthe frosting and return to refrigerator until firm. Cut in pieces. Keeps well in freezer. |
