BANANA NUT BREAD 
2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1 egg
1 c. bananas, mashed
1 tbsp. grated orange peel
3/4 c. milk
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. Beat sugar, butter, and egg until smooth. Add bananas, orange peel, and milk; mix well. Add flour mixture; beat until smooth. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into greased pan. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until done. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack.
