FILLED CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES 
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. flour
1/4 c. cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk

In small bowl, combine cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, nuts and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Cream well. Set aside.

Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder in small bowl. In medium bowl, cream 1/2 cup sugar and butter until smooth. Add egg and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Stir in flour mixture alternately with milk. Line 12 muffin cups with paper liners. Spoon 1 tablespoon batter into each cup.

Add 1 teaspoon cream cheese filling to each cup using all up. Finish by topping filling with batter. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. So good, no need for frosting.
