PIONEER BREAD PUDDING 
2 c. milk
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
Pinch salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. raisins
2 c. bread cubes

Scald milk with butter and sugar. Beat eggs slightly; add salt. Stir in warm milk and vanilla gradually. Add nutmeg and raisins and pour over bread cubes placed in greased casserole. Set baking dish in warm water up to the level of the pudding. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serves 6.
