BLACKBEAN TURKEY CHILI 
1 1/2 lb. ground turkey
1/2 c. green chilies, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1/8 tsp. red pepper
1 lb. bag dried blackbeans, cooked
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 - 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, peeled, undrained and coarsely chopped

In large heavy pot, brown turkey. Pour off excess fat and add onion, chilies and garlic. Cook 3 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add blackbeans, water, tomatoes, paste, chili powder, oregano, cumin and red pepper. Cover and cool slow for 2 hours, stir occasionally. Serve hot with crackers or bread. Serves 4 - 6.
