SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS 
1 env. onion soup mix
1/2 c. water
2 eggs
2 lbs. very lean ground beef
1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained & snipped
1 (8 oz.) can whole cranberry sauce
3/4 c. chili sauce
3/4 c. water
1/3 c. packed brown sugar

In mixing bowl combine dry onion soup mix and 1/2 cup water. Beat in eggs with a fork. Add ground beef and mix well. Shape into 40 meatballs. Brown in skillet.

Combine sauerkraut, cranberry sauce, chili sauce, 3/4 cup water and brown sugar. Pour 1/2 of mixture into bottom of 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Drain meatballs and arrange balls on top of sauerkraut. Pour remaining sauerkraut over meatballs. Cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 to 20 minutes longer. Serve over rice. Serves: 10.
