SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground beef
4 tbsp. bread crumbs
4 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. onion, chopped
1 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. water
2 tbsp. vinegar
4 tbsp. catsup
3 tbsp. dark corn syrup
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. basil leaves
6 ginger snaps

Mix beef, bread crumbs, milk and onion. Add salt and pepper. Shape into balls, brown in butter, all sides. Mix water, vinegar and catsup together and pour over meat balls. Add crushed ginger snaps. This thickens the juice. Cook 20 to 30 minutes.
