SCOTCH SHORTBREAD | |
2 sticks butter 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar Cream together above ingredients until well blended. Sift together, then add to butter-sugar mixture: 2 c. flour 1/8 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking powder Roll out and cut into cookies or pat into an ungreased 8" or 9" square pan. Bake at 325 degrees for about 20 minutes (watch closely as with this much butter they burn easily), then cut into squares while hot. Not too sweet and real good. |
