DELUXE IRISH SODA BREAD 
2 c. milk
2 tbsp. white vinegar
4 c. flour
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. sweet butter in pea sized bits
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. caraway seed
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 tbsp. sugar
10" iron skillet, well greased

The skillet is listed as an ingredient as its use produces an excellent crust.

Mix milk and vinegar. In large bowl combine second group of ingredients. Mix in milk/vinegar gently but thoroughly.

Transfer to greased iron skillet, brush top with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and continue to bake another 50 minutes. Cool on rack. Serves 10.
