ORANGE ALMOND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. cake flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1/3 c. Crisco shortening
1 egg
2 tsp. grated orange peel
1/4 c. sliced almonds
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. Triple Sec

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 inch round pan. Beat all ingredients except almonds, 1 tablespoon sugar and Triple Sec in large bowl on low speed, constantly scraping bowl for 30 seconds. Heat on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally for 3 minutes. Pour into pans. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon sugar, drizzle with Triple Sec. Cool 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely.
