WHEAT GERM FEATHER ROLLS 
2 c. water
4 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. wheat germ
1/4 c. lukewarm water
2 pkgs. yeast
1 tsp. salt
5 c. whole wheat flour

Make a sponge of warm water, butter, sugar, salt, and part of the flour. Add yeast which has been dissolved in warm water. Add the remainder of the flour. The dough should be as stiff as can be stirred with a spoon. Set to rise over warm water. When light, stir down and when light again, put in muffin tins. When risen to double of original bulk, bake in oven at 375 to 400 degrees until browned.
